Gavin Hough first joined IBM Procurement as an intern in the summer of 2016 while pursuing an MBA at North Carolina State University. Quickly making an impact as a team member of the Procurement Enterprise Analytics team supporting the development of capabilities, he re-joined the team post graduation as a Project Manager. In this role, Gavin was able to lead the development and deployment of a number of impactful data driven insights to assist in contract negotiations which lead to savings in excess of $5.5 Million in year one.

In 2018, he took ownership of the analytics suite that which he previously supported. With a redirection of data storage, insertion of automation, and an effort to merge the assets to a single technology, the team was able to expand efforts through dashboards, chat bots, and quote analysis capabilities to reach an excess of $50 Million in year one cost take out. In Gavin's second year as Product Owner, he is driving an initiative to engage sourcing professionals on their pain points that can be alleviated using data and automation in order to increase efficiency of the organization.
