All Rise for Poland: A Thriving Outsource Destination

Posted: 05/16/2019 - 02:13
It’s hard to believe that up until 1989, Poland was governed and ruled by the crushing grip of Communism as the Soviet Union took over Eastern Europe after World War II and strangled economic growth. At that time, Poland was seen as a powerless country with no business prospects and frankly, no real future.

When the Future You Anticipate Never Arrives: Ensuring Your Expected Outcomes Are Accurate

Today, where machines make decisions, the notion of the “right set of data” becomes a lot harder to understand. This is because machines learn differently than we do. In addition, the rationale for the output that they produce is more difficult to reconstruct. Machines do not have the intuition or the critical reasoning that can help to elevate or discount one data point over another. Input data must be free from bias, representative and as accurate as possible.

A MSP Service Delivery Model Based on Design Thinking

    Posted: 05/02/2019 - 23:52
A traditional managed service provider (MSP) solution’s plan begins with analyzing the prevailing business constraints in a talent supply chain and then addresses the standard set of program issues using a well-worn solutions playbook. However, this leads to a tactical “one shoe fits all” approach to service delivery, generally resulting in only marginal improvements in a client’s contingent workforce program and is usually limited to operational (i.e., tactical) program features.

Get “360” Feedback from Key Suppliers, Partners and Customers to Up-Level and De-Risk Your Relationships

Employee Immobility: Getting Talent to Move in a Tightening Market

    Posted: 04/24/2019 - 06:50

Today’s labor market is tight. At the start of 2019, the U.S. economy had seen the longest run of job growth since 1969 and the current unemployment rate is still holding steady at about four percent. Year-over-year wage growth is also the strongest it’s been in a decade. The robust economy has shaped an ideal market for employees, where the demand to fill open positions is outpacing the supply of talent. You’d think employees would look at this as an opportunity to shop their talent to the highest bidder, right? But are workers actually looking to move on?

Why Standard Contract Terms Can be Bad for You

    Posted: 04/18/2019 - 01:58

If your company is like most, it promotes “boilerplate” contracts or at a minimum, pushes for standardized terms, such as the contract length, warranties, a 30-day termination of convenience clause or 90-day payment terms. While this may make your lawyer and CFO happy, Russell Korobkin suggests that using standard contract clauses is a bad idea.
