A telecommunications major partnered with GEP to optimize their procurement operations. Key challenges included high contract processing turnaround time, high volume of manual routine tasks and limited process automation, along with lengthy supplier enablement and onboarding processes – among others. GEP established robust P2P processes and deployed innovative technology solutions to drive greater efficiency. Key outcomes include:
- 91 percent invoice discount opportunities realized till date
- 40 percent reduction in contract turnaround time
- 60 percent reduction in time taken for supplier enablement
- The “BOTs” developed significantly reduced process time for numerous activities
- Double purchase request creation and goods receipts processing volumes now being managed by 50 percent resources
- 50 percent reduction in time taken for invoice exceptions
- 95 percent help desk tickets resolved within 8 business hours
