Project Description
With The Boeing Company entering its second century as the global leader in manufacturing commercial jetliners, defense, space and security systems, Boeing needed to be faster. This required an enterprise-wide system for integration, commonality and automation to drive digital strategy. The Indirect Supply Chain organization created a Governance Steering Committee, comprising both Boeing and suppliers, to drive innovative solutions that address challenges and foster the partnership in these efforts. It was created to assure all innovation and value from the partnership was recognized throughout the life of the contract with no value leakage. This model enables interaction at all levels – from operations through the CIO – to ensure alignment at strategic, tactical and operational levels.
